Pioneer TV

Pioneer Television broadcasts local programming throughout the Midwest. This award winning project consisted of active chilled beams throughout the facility. Martin Mechanical delivered this project on the same budget which was slated for a VAV system. Overall performance and energy consumption is far superior than the prepared system.

Homewood Suites

This hospitality project was located right next to the Las Vegas Strip! With help from DesignCell Architects, we were able to complete a eco-friendly, stunning result. This project consisted of unitary water to air heat pumps, high efficiency boilers and a roof mounted closed circuit fluid cooler. The design guarantees comfort for all guests, along with an energy efficient, low cost solution for the client.

University of North Dakota Law School

The University of North Dakota Law School was originally built in 1923. In 2016, the law school was given a major renovation to the original building and a 15,000 square foot addition. The new addition and renovation featured improved educational space, improved study and workspace, new offices and a case study class room.

The existing mechanical systems were completely removed and replaced. New variable air volume HVAC systems were installed through the entire facility. Since the original building was not equipped with cooling, a new central plant chilled water system was designed to serve both the existing and new wing. Heating systems were fed from UND’s central steam to the facility and converted to hot water.

Another significant portion of the project was to bring the facility up to current life safety codes. A new fully automated fire suppression system was installed through the original and new wings of the facility. Wet sprinkler systems were also installed on lower floors and a dry system was installed in the attic of the original 1920 facility.

AgCountry

AgCountry has a state-of-the-art underfloor displacement ventilation system that creates a quiet, comfortable work environment. The in-floor diffusers vary the airflow based on space needs and individual zones. This causes the heating and cooling to rise, while being hidden beneath the floor. This method is energy efficient and is aesthetically pleasing. The mechanical system utilizes a single duct VAV coupled with a boiler and chiller. An access floor system was used to house all mechanical, electrical and network systems. We worked with Icon Architectural Group on this project to produce a stunning end result.

Jordan River Rearing Facility - U.S. Fish and Wildlife

Elmira, MI

Martin Mechanical Design completed many projects for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service during a 10 year IDIQ contract. Jordan River Rearing Facility is a 46,000 square foot facility in Elmira, Michigan that produces fish to stock the Great Lakes. Martin Mechanical served as project manager for the phased project and is responsible for all aspects of design and construction related activities.

Element Hotel

Element Hotel is known for it’s cutting edge design and eco-friendly mechanical systems. As a LEED Certified Project, Martin Mechanical used the most energy efficient mechanical and plumbing design services. We designed a four pipe fan coil system and central heat recovery, which lowers the lifecycle cost of ownership for the client.
